To welcome the return of professional tennis to Memphis in over a decade, the 2026 Memphis Classic Exhibition brought a star-studded lineup to the Leftwich courts. On the Saturday evening of the tournament’s opening weekend, John Isner, Sam Querrey, and Stevie Johnson brought the energy and competition to town.

Isner and Querrey competed for the 2010 singles’ title in Memphis, where Querrey defeated Isner in an epic three-set victory. Querrey and Isner won their first of two ATP doubles titles together that same year here in town. Over a decade later, Isner, Querrey, and Johnson competed in an Exhibition evening of doubles with incoming University of Memphis freshman Alfie King, mixed doubles with WTA pros Anna Frey and Caty McNally, and an amateur round set against local pros Duncan Howell and Jay Robillard.
